Do not use your name, birthday, title, phone number, pet names or anything else that could easily be associated with you. Do not use easily guessed passwords such as "password". Try not to use a one-word password that can be found in a dictionary. Don't use "keyboard runs" such as "qwerty" or "asdfghjkl".
Good passwords are easy-to-remember phrases that substitute numbers, symbols, and misspellings for some of the letters. You can also create an acronym from an easy-to-remember phrase, lyric, poem, etc. by using the first letter of each word.
No Ball State University employee is authorized to ask you for your password for any reason. You will never be asked to verify your password via email.
Your Ball State Username is used to access most services at Ball State, including Blackboard, Office365, Banner, and other online resources. This username and password are valid while you are a current student or employee. Once you leave Ball State your username will be deactivated.
Your Ball State University account is governed by the Users’ Privileges and Responsibilities Policy and your usage of it implies assent to the information contained within it.
